1. Who we are
This website is operated by Awais Bahadur, trading as Paralegal Outsourcing UK, a sole trader based in England. By using this website, you accept these terms.
2. Use of this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. Its content, including text, design and branding, is our property or licensed to us, and may not be copied or reused without permission. You must not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the operation of this site.
3. The nature of our services
Paralegal Outsourcing UK provides outsourced paralegal and legal back-office support to law firms and other regulated legal businesses. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice directly to your clients. Conduct of each matter, and responsibility for any legal advice given, remains at all times with the instructing firm.
4. Engagement terms
These website terms describe our business generally. The specific terms of any engagement, including scope, rates, confidentiality and supervision arrangements, are set out in a separate written engagement letter or Master Services Agreement, agreed and signed before any chargeable work begins. Where there is any conflict between these website terms and a signed engagement letter, the engagement letter prevails.
5. Fees & payment
Fees are as set out in your engagement letter or our pricing page. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all information shared with us in the course of an engagement as confidential, and expect the same in return. Confidentiality obligations are set out in full in your engagement letter and survive its termination.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability for any engagement is limited as set out in the relevant engagement letter.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement on the notice set out in the relevant engagement letter. We reserve the right to suspend or end an engagement immediately if we reasonably believe continuing would breach a legal or regulatory obligation.
9. Governing law
These terms, and any engagement entered into with us, are governed by the law of England & Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of this website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
